The Tāwharanui Regional Park is set on a remote peninsula and renowned for some of the Auckland region’s most beautiful white sand beaches. And maybe it was the most beautiful beach we’ve ever seen! Plus, we were lucky to see two Takahē! These extremely rare birds almost went extinct and now there are only 260-500 of them living in the wild.
